Although ultraviolet is a new technology for textile industry, it has been found in science and technology for a long time. In the literature, it was highlighted that productive efficiency can be improved significantly by aid of ultraviolet. For example, bleaching process can be performed in a shorter time with usage of ultraviolet. Hydrogen peroxide decomposes to hydroxyl radicals which are more reactive than other oxidative chemicals by the aid of the ultraviolet. Moreover, surface modification of wool fabrics can be ensured with treatment of UV C. This provides an increase at the dyeability and printability properties. Although, ultraviolet technology supports efficiency of productivity, it is called as a green process like ozone and ultrasound technology because of being ecological when compared with that of conventional processes.
